Is it true that California might pass a bill to take my Medicare away from me?

A.  YES. It is called The Healthy California Act (Senate Bill 562)

It started as "Medicare for All." Potentially, over a $300 billion dollar proposal to create a state government-run, single-payer health care system for all people, of all ages in California. It passed its first step  In April 2017 with The California Senate Health Committee.

39 million California residents...from undocumented residents, to Medicare, Medicaid - Medi-Cal recipients, Obamacare, The Children’s health insurance plans and employees who already get their health insurance through work, would ALL be forced to be on the same plan.

All of your doctors would have to practice medicine the way the California government sees fit. Kaiser would also be eliminated and could not even exist as it currently does now.

SB 562 needs your Medicare money from the federal government that you paid into your entire working life, and a raise in taxes to pay for itself. The bill has many more hurdles to jump before it can become law. Governor Jerry Brown has yet to support it.

I suggest all seniors scream from the mountain tops "Leave my Medicare Alone!" Everyone should Contact:

Governor Jerry Brown (916) 445-2841
State Senator Andy Vidak (916) 651-4014 or (559) 264-3070
State Senator Tom Berryhill  (916) 445‑9600 or (559) 253‑7122
State Assembly Jim Patterson (916) 319-2029 or (559) 446-2029
